We have always wanted to attend Comic Con in San Diego…but have yet to work that into the budget/vacation schedule/life with kids. We were super excited to find out that this year Denver was having its first Comic Con. And on the list of guest was James Marsters. He played Spike on Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Capt John Hart on Torchwood for those unfamiliar. This being two of my absolute favorite shows…I was excited to go and get an autograph and meet him in person!!!
To say I was a bit geeky and fan girl…well that would be putting it lightly, but then so was everyone else around me, so I guess I was in good company 🙂 (or at least not that out-of-place!)
I will say the whole process is kind of a scam…with admission price, ticket price for an autograph and a separate ticket price for a professional photo with the celebrity of choice. We elected to just go with the autograph and some candid shots snapped during the signing. But all in all it was a good afternoon, worth the price to meet Mr Marsters in person, and check out all the other geeks out there in Denver area!
So fun, Genny!! I’ve never seen Torchwood; he looks so odd to me with un-Spike-like hair.
